I want to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of Positive Alternative. It is our pleasure to serve working parents who want a nurturing, positive environment for their children. We are proud to provide affordable, high quality care since 1988.

This site provides introductory information for parents who may be looking for a daycare or preschool for their little ones, and who want to learn about our school. As you'll see from the pages throughout the site, the environment at Positive Alternative is very family-oriented and nurturing. Under the experienced guidance of devoted teachers, your son or daughter will be at home with the right balance of learning, play, fun, guidance, and discovery – elements we believe are the building blocks to a happy and healthy childhood.
We are very community and family oriented. Throughout the year we offer many opportunities for families to meet one another such as Friendsgiving and Breakfast with Santa. We also provide educational nights for parents to learn about what is going on at the school and how their child is doing.
Positive Alternative participates in the Colorado Shines Quality Improvement rating. This opportunity allows for coaching which provides extra resources, tools, and techniques regarding developmentally appropriate practices.
We are also participating in the Denver Preschool Program. Regular assessments and evaluations of the Pre-K teacher are done through DPP. DPP is a wonderful benefit to parents, as they receive financial credits toward their child’s monthly tuition.
Our program offers field trips for children 3 and older throughout the year. Plays at the DPPC, pumpkin patch, and museums are just some of the exciting excursions taken.
